Built in 1991 by the Sanatan Vidik Hindu Jagaran Sansthan, the Sun Temple at Bundu is shaped like a giant chariot drawn by seven horses - an architectural homage to the Konark temple. The complex includes a sacred pond and is the focal point of Chhath celebrations for east Ranchi.
