Hazaribagh + Patratu Day Tour - tour package from Ranchi
The Hazaribagh and Patratu day tour from Ranchi covers 230 km, includes Canary Hill, Hazaribagh Lake and the Patratu Ghati sunset, and starts at ₹4,499 for a sedan carrying four passengers.
Two destinations joined at Ramgarh, done in the only sequence that gets you Patratu at sunset. Hazaribagh in the morning for Canary Hill and the lake, then back south through Ramgarh and Bhurkunda to the Patratu reservoir, and up the Patratu Ghati hairpins as the light turns. It is a long day - about twelve hours door to door - but it is the most ground you can cover from Ranchi without an overnight.

- Canary Hill - the sunrise-side viewpoint over the Hazaribagh plateau
- Hazaribagh Lake and gardens
- Konar Dam, an optional detour
- Patratu Ghati - about a dozen hairpin switchbacks - and the sunset viewpoint at the top

Frequently asked questions
Can Hazaribagh and Patratu really be done in one day?
Yes. The loop is about 230 km: Ranchi to Hazaribagh up NH-20, Hazaribagh to Patratu Dam about 78 km via Ramgarh and Bhurkunda, then home over the Patratu hairpins via Pithoria and Kanke. The constraint is daylight, not distance - a 06:30 start is what makes the Patratu sunset work. If you leave Ranchi after 08:00, drop Hazaribagh Lake and keep only Canary Hill.
